Type Locality and Naming
The type section is located at Mijiuco, about 60 km south of Siling Co (the 2nd largest salt water lake in Tibet) in central Tibet. It was named by Wang Wenbin in 1957.
Lithology and Thickness
Limestone. Light-gray-yellow thick-bedded to massive compact limestone and crystalline limestone intercalated with thin-bedded limestone, occasionally with purple lumpy limestone; 1260 m thick.
